Universal Robots and Mobile Industrial Robots are members of the Teradyne Industrial Automation group (IAG), which brings the strength of a multi-billion-dollar, global equipment supplier to support the growth in robotics. You will be supporting the companies in Teradyne Industrial Automation Group worldwide.

At Universal Robots, our IT support setup is the center of the IAG IT Organization, and we are looking for the right person to take over the management of this group. The person will manage a fantastic and very competent team of 7 IT supports, delivering IT support across the IAG. The IT Support Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management of the team, development of the function in cooperation with the Teradyne Support Center of Excellence, continuously monitor, and optimize processes and competencies to ensure the best possible IT support to the business.

You are a dedicated manager focused on developing the employees and the function, but also motivated getting your hands dirty by solving concrete IT tickets, or escalating issues and drive taskforces when needed. This position offers fantastic growth opportunities, and you will be part of an IT organization with more than 300 highly skilled professionals.

To give you an overview of how this affects your role and responsibilities you can look forward to working with:

  • Day-to-day management of the team including guidedance, escalation, prioritization, and solution input when required.
  • Drive change management process, governing the implementation of the IT changes.
  • Secure integration with other Teradyne IT groups to develop and adopt common processes and procedures.
  • Employee development, build career development plans and securing continued focus on improving internal competences.
  • License management, purchasing, governance, clean-up of allocated licenses.
  • Developing and optimizing processes around on-boarding and off-boarding.
  • Participate in IAG IT Management team, setting the strategy and direction of the entire IT team and executing on the plans.
  • Define and support projects initiated by IT support or impacting the process or workload of the function.
  • Management of hardware stock and procurement of new hardware if bigger purchases are needed.
  • Communication with the business in relation to bigger changes, or in case of bigger issues affecting the performance of the business.

You will be working closely with the team, but also with the entire IAG IT team consisting of Infrastructure and Business Application, to ensure a holistic approach in our execution of IT changes.

You will be based in Odense, Denmark and will report to Garnik Abrahamian director of IT customer service in Unites States.

As a person you are independent, but still a team player. You are motivated by leadership but also by solving complex tasks and still you are very practical in the way you approach things. Further, you come with:

  • Minimum 5-10 years of experience in IT support and IT support management
  • Experienced people manager
  • Experience managing IT support in an international organization
  • Strong understanding of business needs, with the ability to establish and maintain a high level of customer trust and confidence. 
  • A customer centric mindset with the ability to manage customer expectations
  • Strong IT background with deep knowledge of IT fundamentals
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written communication in English
