Lead Product Manager

Integration & Platform - Odense, Denmark

Are you looking for a place where you can completely revolutionize an entire category of products?

And are you interested in working with the brightest minds in robotics today?

If so, this may be the position for you!

At Universal Robots, we are the market leader in the collaborative robotic space today, and we are just getting started. We are looking for an experienced product management professional who is obsessed with understanding customers and creating value for them.

As Lead Product Manager, you will be dedicated to developing and launching hardware and software products that make our collaborative robots easy for customers to integrate onto their factory floors.

Integration & Platform is more than a robot control box; it is the brain of our cobots and the primary way our cobots talk with the outside world, including communication with safety sensors and controls. Our platform must enable customers to be successful regardless of their level of expertise.

As a Lead Product Manager, you will be a strategist, who enjoys spending time in the market, and who will translate the company’s high-level vision and goals into actionable tasks. You will set product strategy, prioritize features, build consensus, and coordinate product schedules with your design and engineering teammates.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the holistic view and strategy for our Integration & Platform value stream
  • Work cross-functionally with engineering, design, applications, product insights, and our business partners
  • Uncover and understand customer needs and translate them into powerful user stories
  • Manage the product strategy and requirements throughout the project and product lifecycle
  • Act as primary product communicator and link between key stakeholders and teams

Is this you?

  • You have 7+ years of product management experience, ideally in Industrial Automation, Consumer Products, or Electronics
  • You are tech-savvy and passionate about building platform products that enable customer satisfaction
  • You have excellent people and management skills to interact with staff, colleagues, cross-functional teams, and third parties
  • You have experience with best-practice agile scrum development and lean startup principles
  • You have experience with functional safety and industrial standards is a plus.
  • You care deeply about the user experience and have extensive knowledge in design principles, UX, and quantitative and qualitative research
  • You have a proven track record of managing all aspects of a successful product throughout its lifecycle and driving successful business outcomes
  • You demonstrate excellent written and verbal communications across technical and non-technical stakeholders and you are comfortable being a public speaker in front of large, senior groups
  • You have a degree in engineering, computer science, or other technical disciplines; MBA is a plus

We offer

At Universal Robots, we ask a lot from our employees and in exchange, we offer an exciting job in a dynamic and fast-growing company with the opportunity of working alongside skilled and talented colleagues. You will be empowered to help yourself and your team become a success, by taking responsibility for your own work and the products you help create. At Universal Robots we trust our employees to make educated decisions that benefit the organization.

But there’s more:

  • You will also be part of a team led by a manager with a continuous focus on team spirit, employee- and skill development
  • An empowering work environment, where you are encouraged to think out of the box and actively contribute to the product development.
  • Flexible working hours to support balance in your daily life
  • Lunch arrangement in the possibly best canteen that exists
  • Health insurance
  • Office located right next to the highway
  • And much more

This position requires up to 25 percent domestic and international travel to current and prospective customers and partners.
