The Role


As a Product Marketing Specialist for our Customer Care team, you will focus your efforts on our training, services and support offerings. You have an awareness of the customers’ pain are an extremely organized and communicative team player, adept at managing large strategic projects and launches, and collaborating across the organization to drive key business results. You will develop the positioning, messaging, competitive differentiation and enable marketing, sales and, channel partners for new and existing products to maximize profitability. Working with cross-departmental teams, you will create the go to market strategy, co-managing the commercial launch process with counterparts in marketing to drive customer interaction.

You must possess a unique blend of business, marketing, and technical savvy that includes a big-picture vision and the drive to make that vision a reality. You must also enjoy spending time with customers and channel partners to better understand their challenges and finding innovative ways for address those via marketing campaigns and product positioning.


Key Responsibilities


The Product Marketing Specialist for the Customer Care product team will do the following for our support, services, and training offerings:

  • Translate the company’s high-level vision and goals into actionable tasks
  • Transform product features into tangible benefits and collaborate with marketing to create marketing assets across the buyer journey
  • Drive the launch of new products in collaboration with product management
  • Reposition existing products to increase the profitability based on contact with customers and prospects, as well as market research
  • Work with product management and marketing communications to help define the go-to-market strategy. Own value propositions, product positioning, competitive differentiation, and high-level messaging.
  • Serve as the internal and external evangelist for product offerings, taking part in presentations and events
  • Manage the commercial launch roadmap for a set of UR products and/or service offerings
  • Keep a finger on the pulse of the competition and develop strategies and tactics to reduce the threat


Qualifications and Skills required


  • 10+ years of experience in product marketing or product management at a technology company, some of those years preferably in the automation/robotics space
  • Demonstrated ability to manage global product launches, execute on marketing plans, and coordinate/work with across teams to effectively bring a product to market on time and on budget
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Track record of using qualitative and quantitative data to drive decision-making
  • BA degree, preferably in engineering or other technical discipline, or experience in tech or robotics marketing
  • This position requires up to 15% travel, domestic and international, to customers’ facilities, events, and other UR offices
