As a Chemical Test Engineer within our Test Engineering Team, you will focus on testing and analyzing material properties, particularly their resistance to cleaning agents, grease lubrication properties, and polymer compositions.

 

Your expertise will be crucial in developing materials that meet our high standards of performance and reliability.

 

Key responsibilities

 

  • Material Properties Testing: Conduct comprehensive tests on various materials to evaluate their properties, including resistance to cleaning agents and durability under different conditions.
  • Grease Lubrication Analysis: Analyze the lubrication properties of greases and other lubricants used in our products to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
  • Polymer Composition Analysis: Test and analyze polymer compositions to determine their suitability for different applications and environments.
  • Research and Development: Collaborate with the R&D team to develop new materials and improve existing ones, focusing on enhancing their performance and resistance to various factors.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure all materials meet the company’s stringent quality standards and industry regulations through thorough testing and analysis.
  • Documentation: Maintain detailed records of test procedures, results, and any issues encountered during testing.
  • Continuous Improvement: Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance testing processes, methodologies, and overall material performance.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other engineering teams to integrate material testing results into product design and development.

For you to have success in the position as a Chemical Test Engineer at UR we imagine you have the following experience and skills:

 

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in chemical analysis techniques and tools, such as spectroscopy, chromatography, and rheology.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex test results and identify areas for material improvement.
  • Material Science Knowledge: Deep understanding of material science, particularly in the areas of polymers, lubricants, and chemical resistance.
  • Problem-Solving: Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot material issues and propose effective solutions.
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail, ensuring thorough testing coverage and accurate documentation.
  • Communication: Clear and effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to convey test results and recommendations.
  • Passion for Innovation: A passion for materials innovation and a desire to contribute to the advancement of high-performance materials.
