Position Purpose:

 

The Industrial Automation IT Director serves as the technological thought leader for advancing the strategic objectives of the Industrial Automation Group using innovative technology solutions.  This role requires equal parts understanding of the business and technology needs required to drive positive change for the organization.  This role oversees strategic technology planning and the successful execution of technology initiatives related to the Industrial Automation division while driving the organization’s overall technology strategy.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • In collaboration with business leadership, create and manage an integrated business and technology strategy and roadmap to enable the Industrial Automation division to achieve the strategic objectives
  • Promote innovative solutions to solve real business problems through business case development efforts and cross-functional prioritization
  • Understand how technology solutions are currently meeting business needs and help launch improvements to contribute to a more efficient and effective workplace for Industrial Automation associates
  • Ensure successful change management and adoption for each implementation effort
  • Develop and manage budgets for Industrial Automation needs
  • Provide portfolio and project management capabilities to ensure successful project completions
  • Drive service excellence, mitigate risks, gain value from key vendors and mange costs throughout the partnership lifecycle
  • Lead and manage a team of 6 direct reports ( MS Dynamics AX and Datawarehouse/BI specialists)  
  • Coach and develop own team members as well as local IT colleagues reporting into corporate Teradyne IT functions to achieve their own development goals and potential

 

Qualifications and Requirements:

 

  • BA or BS in a relevant business or technology field
  • 10+ years of experience in IT
  • Demonstrated experience leading diverse teams
  • Has international experience and interest in working with different cultures
  • Experience in an IT Business Relationship Management role
  • Is experienced in leading and communicating cross-functionally and is courageous to envision and deliver the future

  • Solution oriented with a focus on business outcomes by way of best-in-class service delivery
  • Great listener with strong relationship management, collaboration and influencing skills
  • You take the lead, set the direction for implementing corporate IT strategies, and guide your team and the company to deliver on these.
  • We are looking for a true team player and inspiriting leader with great interpersonal, communication and presentation skills

 

Location & Travel:

 

  • Odense S, South Denmark, DK
  • Ability to travel internationally up to 1 week, quarterly between Europe Union and the United States
