We need more skilled JAVA engineers to improve the JAVA software that makes Universal Robots a success.

 

If you are keen on programming Java and want to help the end-user setup robots in a user-friendly manner and you love working in an agile product driven environment, then you are the Software Engineer we are looking for.

 

Java Developer

As a Software Engineer at our office in Odense, you will be part of the team that build the application running on the teach pendant tablet used to control and program our robots.

 

The goal is to make it easy setting up complex robot movements both for experienced integrators and also for less experienced daily users in all sorts of productions environments. And we need you to help us with that!

Who are you?

As Java developer you love taking complex tasks and build an interface that helps the user set up the robot. 

You are used to work in an agile environment, with Scrum Masters and Product Owners and in a team that is focused on quality code.

The team, part of R&D Software counting 100+ Engineers, is working closely with a product manager, tech lead and UX, while collaborating with other software and hardware teams.

Your education is most likely in computer science/engineering or likewise and you have a proven track record of good results. You have professional experience in Java/C# software development, where you have shown your ability to build advanced software with high quality.

In general:

  • We expect you to be knowledgeable in Java
  • We expect you to be experienced in Object Orientated coding
  • We expect you can write clean and maintainable code (e.g., SOLID principles)
  • We expect you are developing quality code that is tested using unit test is just the way you work
  • We expect you to be fluent in written and spoken English
