Scrum Master for World Leading Robot-Company

Today UR is the clear market leader for collaborative robots worldwide and the market is growing FAST! We got the best engineers, but they need THE Scrum Master to help them become even more successful. Is that you?

Universal Robots is on a mission to make automation available for everyone through simplicity. We are committed to ensuring our existing and potential customers always have easy access to all the information they need, whenever and wherever they need it. And we need you to join our new digital journey in our global R&D organization with 220+ talented and passionate colleagues.

Design the future with us

UR is the world’s market leader in cobots, making products that empower our customers and truly impact their work-life positively. To ensure the success of our customers, UR is now initiating a new journey that will bring cobots to even more people. Our vision is to connect people with automation needs to the solutions, products, knowledge, and services they need to be successful. We will experiment with different ways to achieve this goal, and we need your help!

We have established two new development teams co-located in our headquarter in Odense. The teams focus on creating innovative and intuitive web application to help our customers find what they need to be successful.

The teams consist of very skilled engineers but is currently missing an equally skilled Scrum Master to help them become even more successful.

The Role

We are looking for a Scrum master with a servant leader mindset who love to facilitate and focus on developing people over processes. We expect you to love helping the team create new experiments and coach them towards being empowered, self-managed, and cross-functional. You will be Scrum master of two teams.

You can expect a lot cross-functional work, as the two teams have a lot of stakeholders spread around the organization. Alignment is required between marketing, sales, service support and other R&D value streams.

You step into doing some training in areas where the team needs more knowledge or guidance. That could be anything from the Agile Manifesto and principles, Story Points, User Story Mapping, and helping the Product Manager in how to describe the problems that the team needs to solve. When time permits, you also gladly help other teams and other parts of the organization in striving for continuous improvement. We also expect that you guard the team against unplanned work and help the team to say no.

We are in the transition from project teams towards fully empowered product teams that focus on solving customer problems – not features. The product teams have full responsibility of converting customer problems and business objectives to solutions that brings value to the customers and business.

On top of that we also have an Agile Center of Excellence that focuses on the systemic things but also helping where it’s needed. It’s something you might be part of depending on your areas of interest.

Qualification, Experience, Skills and Educational Background

You have relevant education, and a few years of experience is a must. You focus on the team’s and product’s end goal, as well their well-being, and you have an open mindset and a positive attitude. You are a collaborative team player and can thrive in a work environment where changes occur regularly while remaining focused.

  • Being empathetic
  • Facilitating workshops, events etc.
  • Acting as a servant Leader
  • Experience with Agile, Scrum, DevOps, Lean and the like
  • Experience from a development setup within Software
  • Good at communicating both verbally and written (English)
  • Several years of experience working as a Scrum Master or Agile Coach

We offer

At Universal Robots, we ask a lot from our employees and in exchange, we offer an exciting job in a dynamic and fast-growing company with the opportunity of working alongside skilled and talented colleagues. You will be empowered to help yourself and your team become a success, by taking responsibility for your own work and the products you help create. At Universal Robots we trust our employees to make educated decisions that benefit the organization.

But there’s more:

  • An empowering work environment, where you are encouraged to think out of the box and actively contribute to the product development.
  • Flexible working hours to support balance in your daily life
  • Lunch arrangement in the possibly best canteen that exists
  • Health insurance
  • Office located right next to the highway
  • Lucrative growth bonus program
  • Stock Exchange program with Teradyne
  • And much more
