Key Responsibilities:

As a Senior FEA Engineer at Universal Robots, you will play a key role in shaping the next generation of collaborative robots. Working in dynamic, cross functional project teams, you help transform bold ideas into high-quality products used by customers worldwide. You’ll be surrounded by skilled and inspiring colleagues who share a passion for pushing technology forward. 

In this role, you will not only help bring new innovations to market, but you will also drive the development of our simulation and strength assessment capabilities, pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in robotics and elevating the performance of our future products. 

You simulate for the future by: 

  • Driving design excellence through high-quality FEA simulations and design optimization 
  • Translating complex simulation results into clear, actionable insights for engineers and stakeholders 
  • Building smarter ways of working by creating workflows, best practices, and powerful tools for our design and simulation teams 
  • Advancing our simulation capabilities so we continuously push the limits of what our models can predict and achieve 
  • Performing advanced fatigue and static strength assessments to secure robustness and reliability 
  • Collaborating closely with our Test Engineering team to define materials, load cases, and validation strategies 

Your background – What you bring to the table   

We’re looking for a skilled and motivated simulation engineer with a strong analytical mindset and a structured, detail-oriented approach. You take ownership, enjoy solving complex problems, and strive to continuously improve both your engineering skills and the tools around you. 

We imagine you bring: 

  • M.Sc. or Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering 
  • Solid experience with FEA—static, dynamics, multibody, modal, fatigue, fracture, and Multiphysics 
  • Experience with ANSYS and scripting (e.g., Python, APDL, MATLAB) 
  • Knowledge of robust design methods such as FMEA, DFM, DFA 
  • Experience with SolidWorks or similar CAD tools 

As English is our corporate language, fluency is a must. Danish is a plus but not required.
