Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Mechanical Engineer at Universal Robots, you will join a high-performing, dynamic team of talented engineers united by a passion for solving major challenges and delivering exceptional products. Working in cross-functional project teams, you’ll play a key role in designing, developing, and innovating both new and existing products.
In this role, you design the future by:
- Developing and designing future products for the market.
- Improving current products to enhance production quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
- Utilizing and refining processes and procedures to ensure efficiency and high quality in our development and design.
You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to solve complex tasks and deliver innovative solutions. Based in our R&D department in Odense, Denmark, this role requires a commitment to excellence, honesty, and integrity, values we hold at the core of everything we do.
Your Background – What You Bring to the Table
We’re looking for a skilled and enthusiastic mechanical engineer with a passion for solving complex challenges and a practical, hands-on approach to engineering. You thrive in a fast-paced, agile organization where flexibility and collaboration are key to success. We imagine you bring:
- Advanced skills in 3D and 2D design (e.g., SolidWorks or similar tools).
- Knowledge of robust design methods such as DFMEA, DFM, and DFA.
- Experience driving and coordinating cross‑organizational activities, ensuring cross-functional alignment.
- A structured and detail-oriented mindset with a strong sense of ownership and accountability for delivering on commitments.
- Strong planning and coordination abilities, including breaking down complex tasks, keeping stakeholders informed, and ensuring progress against key milestones.
- Comfortable working in environments with many interfaces, balancing technical depth with effective communication and clear decision-making.
- Ability to lead technical discussions, facilitate alignment, and ensure that decisions are made based on data and engineering rationale.
- Proactive problem-solving approach, with the ability to anticipate risks, manage dependencies, and maintain momentum even in ambiguous situations.
As English is our corporate language, fluency is a must. Danish is a plus but not required.
