We are looking for a Software Test Engineer to join our Connectivity team in Odense on a maternity cover contract for 1 year. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys combining hands-on testing of real robotic systems with Python-based test automation and who can quickly get up to speed in a complex technical environment.
Working closely with our Software Engineers, you will play an important role in maintaining the reliability, performance, and quality of our connectivity solutions.
Your Responsibilities
As our new Software Test Engineer, you will:
- Design, develop, and maintain automated tests in Python.
- Perform hands-on testing on real cobots to validate functionality, usability, and system performance.
- Create and maintain unit, integration, and regression tests.
- Collaborate closely with Software Engineers to investigate issues and improve testability.
- Contribute to the development of test frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, and build-server workflows.
- Ensure high-quality software releases through robust test coverage and fast feedback loops.
What We're Looking For
We are looking for a pragmatic and curious test professional with a passion for quality and automation. You don't need to be a senior expert, but you should be comfortable navigating complex systems and learning quickly.
Required Qualifications
- 2–4 years of experience in software testing, quality assurance, or a similar role.
- Strong experience developing and maintaining automated tests in Python.
- Hands-on experience with manual testing of complex software systems.
- Experience with unit, integration, and regression testing.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and build servers.
- Ability to quickly understand existing systems and workflows.
- Understanding of how AI can support and enhance daily work.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications
- Experience with robotics, cobots, or integrated hardware/software systems.
- Knowledge of RTDE, SRCI, PLCs, Universal Robots technologies, or similar integration platforms.
- Understanding of communication protocols such as TCP, UDP, HTTP, and ROS2.
- Experience working with Docker-based environments and simulation setups.
