In our Hardware team you will be focusing on developing new products for an exciting market and improve our current line-up to constantly improve our products and create value for our customers.

As our new Mechanical Engineer, you will join a high-performance team involving multi-functional stakeholders within the whole organization. Technology is moving fast, and Universal Robots wants to be at the forefront, breaking limits and exceeding our customer expectations. Therefore, you are expected to master strong fundamental knowledge within Mechanical engineering and machine design, 2D and 3D design and have strong analytical skills. You must also be able to solve complex problems by applying your logical and methodical mindset.
 

In this role, you design the future by:

  • Developing future products for the market
  • Improve our current products for production, quality, and cost
  • Use and improve our processes and procedures
  • Develop tools to help ensure design verification
     

You will be part of our R&D department based in Odense, Denmark.

To succeed, we imagine you come with:

  • B.Sc. or M.Sc. in mechanical engineering with 2-5 years of relevant R&D experience
  • Strong fundamental knowledge within Mechanical engineering and machine design
  • Strong in 3D and 2D design (we are currently using SolidWorks)
  • Experience with robust design and design specifications, e.g., FMEA, DFM and DFA
  • Knowledge within test setup and verification/validation methodologies
  • Preferably knowledge of agile development (e.g., work in Scrum teams)
     

As a person you are independent, but still a team player. You are motivated by solving complex tasks and still you are very practical in the way you approach things.
