Position Overview


The position as Channel Development Manager for Norway & Iceland reports to the Regional Sales Director for Northern Europe.  You will be part of the sales team covering Scandinavia and Benelux. The main part of the team is located in UR’s main facilities in Odense, Denmark. Whereas you will be working from a home office in this position. You will be responsible for lead generation through active sales in cooperation with our partners, sales & marketing activities as well as assist with the commercial development of distributors and integrators in your market.  You will manage the strategy, business and activity plans, sales, marketing, implementation, budget and commercial results for your market.  The position will interface with end users, integrators, distributors, sales, service-, marketing teams and other stakeholders.  

 

This position also requires primarily travelling in Norway but travelling abroad will occasionally be required. 

 

 

 

The final candidate will be a high intellectual with great energy who thrives in a challenging, entrepreneurial, and dynamic environment. In addition, it is expected that this individual will have the combination of talent and drive to lead and achieve sales performance goals. This individual will be responsible for planning, implementing, managing and advising on all industry specific sales and customer relationship management activities in UR. 

 

 

Other major tasks in this position are:

•    Identify new potential end users in the market or value adding distributors & integrators
•    Canvass, initiate, qualify sales and follow through to ensure successful sales in cooperation with the partners’ sales teams and UR internal marketing 
•    Establish, structure, and manage the sales funnel with your distributors 
•    Facilitate joint visits with distributors’ sales reps to end users and system integrators
•    Devise sales & marketing strategy and implement sales & marketing plans to strategically position UR in the market and create brand awareness via positive visibility in the market.
•    Train, develop, motivate, and support existing distributors and integrators 
•    Participate in trade shows, seminars, webinars, workshops, live events etc.

 

 

With your drive and high energy level as well as strong relation-building competence, you are a self-starter who is resourceful and initiates work without specific instruction in a structured and independent approach. Goes without saying that you are results orientated and know how to get the desired results using your winning mentality. 

 

Since the Northern European team is widely spread it is vital that you are a team player and possess an understanding of how different departmental functions support one another. 

 

 

Further to this, we imagine you come with: 

 

•    A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business or related subject
•    High English proficiency is a must 
•    Min. 5 years successful track record from B2B sales. Experience in indirect sales to distributors would be an advantage
•    Experience in industrial automation, solution/ project sales involving technical products would be an advantage
•    Strong sense of understanding of the value proposition to the end users
•    Experience with structured sales, plans, budgets, pipeline management, marketing
•    Business acumen that you can apply on different decision levels from senior management level to technical support
•    Possess strong communication skills and have a good understanding of cross-cultural differences
•    High degree of flexibility and work professionally
•    Proven, strong understanding of the solution sales business and working with distributors and integrators
•    Ability to operate in hunting for new possibilities and developing current users of Universal Robots and ultimately do so together with your network of distributors and integrators
