The Channel Development Manager will be reporting to the Country Manager, Korea. This role will be based in our office located in Busan, Korea. You will be responsible for leads generation, sales & marketing activities as well as assist with the commercial development of distributors in Busan region. You will manage the strategy, business and activity plans, sales, marketing, implementation, budget and commercial results for the market through distributors.  The position will interface with end users, integrators, distributors, sales team and other stakeholders.  This position accounts for about 60% domestic and 10% overseas travels.

The final candidate will be a high intellectual with great energy and thrives in a challenging, entrepreneurial, and dynamic environment. In addition, it is expected that this individual will have the combination of talent and drive to lead and achieve sales performance goals. This individual will interact on a regular basis with the Country Manager and the sales managers in Korea and be responsible for planning, implementing, managing and advising on all industry specific sales and customer relationship management activities of the company.


Roles & Responsibility

Develop key accounts unique channel (distributors and system integrators)

Drive KPIs and action plans to achieve the annual target.  Develop countermeasures to get back to the budget if missed.

Manage distributors by bi-weekly meetings of funnel management, forecasting and action plans with distributors

Canvass, initiate, qualify sales leads and follow through to ensure a solid sales funnel with distributors

Train, develop, motivate and support existing distributors

Facilitate joint visits with distributor’s sales reps to end users

Devise sales & marketing strategy and action plans with a marketing manager to strategically position UR in the market and create brand awareness via positive visibility in the market

Account for about 70% travel (mostly domestically)



Bachelor degree or higher in Business or related subject

High English proficiency is a must for this job apart from Korean

Have a minimum of 3 years successful track record indirect sales to distributors

Experience in industrial automation, solution/ project sales involving technical products would be an advantage

Strong sense of understanding of the value proposition to the end users

Experience with structured sales, plans, budgets, pipeline management, marketing

Business acumen that you can apply on different decision levels from senior management level to technical support

People management in sales

Overseas working experience in an English-speaking environment would be an advantage

Must possess strong communication skills and have a good understanding of cross cultural differences
