Applications and Customer Support Engineer

Organization & Role

Provide high quality of technical support and development to our partners.

Reporting directly to our Regional Technical Manager, you will be working very closely and responsible for supporting Universal Robots sales representatives, partners, and customers in South East Asia and Oceania. 

Responsibilities

  • Educate market on collaborative robots and applications
  • Conduct application POC(proof of concepts)
  • Provide Application Simulations
  • Developing partners’/end users technical knowledge and capabilities with regards to Universal Robots and applications
  • Provide trainings
  • Provide product and application consultation
  • Manage customer relations
  • Provide application and robot support onsite.

 

Basic Qualifications & Skills

The job demands that you have documented practical experience with Automation and Robot applications. To gain success in the job it is important that you are outgoing, and service minded. You should have experience with customer facing functions such as field sales, outgoing and keen to meet new people. Furthermore, you should have experience with technical training and customer visits.

The ideal candidate has:

  • Bachelor degree or higher in Engineering/Computer Science related subject.
  • Minimum two years’ experience in robotics or automation industry.
  • Familiar with Universal Robots products, programming in Polyscope.
  • Fluent in Speaking and writing in English.
  • Possess an analytical mind.
  • Self-motivated and proactive.
  • Excellent computer and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in a high level programming language such as C++/Java/Python (is a plus but not a requirement).
  • Singaporean and PR only.

  • Require to travel 25% within SEAO

  • Exhibits ownership over responsibilities and assigned tasks by ensuring that projects/ tasks are completed correctly and on time;
  • Is flexible and works professionally;
  • Is a team player and possess an understanding of how different department functions support one another;
  • Quick learner who grasps concepts and processes quickly and intuitively.
