About Teradyne Robotics

Teradyne Robotics brings together Universal Robots and MiR, two of the world's most trusted brands in collaborative robots and autonomous mobile robots. Our vision is to create a world where people work with robots, not like robots.

Taiwan is one of the most strategically important markets in our Asia portfolio. It is home to the world's leading semiconductor, electronics, EMS and ODM manufacturers, many of whom are scaling automation globally through Taiwan-based collaboration. Success in this market shapes not only Taiwan revenue, but our position inside global accounts.

Opportunity Overview

The Sales Director, Taiwan guides the commercial strategy and execution for Teradyne Robotics in Taiwan across both the Universal Robots and MiR product lines. The role is accountable for order intake and growth targets, for building and developing the Taiwan Sales and AE organization, and for translating regional business strategy into focused, measurable commercial action.

This is a market where growth will come less from opportunity volume and more from conversion discipline, key account depth, and a stronger technical win rate. The successful candidate will be as comfortable coordinating a complex, multi-stakeholder enterprise pursuit as they are running a rigorous weekly forecast cadence — and will be expected to raise the commercial capability of the team, not simply manage it.

Key Responsibilities

Driving Revenue Growth

  • Own and deliver Taiwan order intake, revenue and growth objectives across the UR and MiR product lines, achieving an target annual growth rate to get in line with the Teradyne Robotics Mid Term Plan (MTP).
  • Develop and execute the Taiwan territory, account, channel and growth plans, aligned with regional and global priorities and local market dynamics.
  • Identify and open new industry segments and enterprise-scale opportunities, with particular emphasis on semiconductor, electronics manufacturing, EMS/ODM, and logistics.
  • Drive the commercial transition from product-led selling toward solution, software and service-based offerings that create recurring revenue.

Strategic and Team Leadership

  • Guide, coach and develop the Taiwan Sales and AE teams — including managers and experienced team contributors — to deliver business objectives and build lasting organizational capability.
  • Mentor team members through shared goal setting, performance support, succession planning, regular business reviews and structured coaching.
  • Create a culture of accountability: define, monitor and report on the metrics that matter, recognize success, and address underperformance early and directly.
  • Build a commercial environment that rewards strategic hunters who can win new logos while growing and upgrading the installed base.
  • Act as the Teradyne Robotics customer ambassador in Taiwan, partnering closely with service, support and customer success teams.

Key Account and Route-to-Market Development

  • Build and personally hold senior relationships with strategic customers, partners and channel stakeholders, and guide the team through complex opportunities and negotiations.
  • Develop and manage the partner ecosystem across Certified Solution Providers, OEMs, system integrators and distribution — including partner selection, enablement, incentive design and channel conflict resolution.
  • Guide strategic key accounts headquartered in Taiwan whose automation decisions and deployments extend into Mainland China and other global sites, coordinating with counterparts in those regions to present one coherent Teradyne Robotics team to the customer.
  • Consolidate the partner model where needed, concentrating investment behind partners who reliably deliver new, profitable business.

Commercial Operations and Execution Discipline

  • Ensure disciplined forecasting, pipeline governance, account planning, resource allocation, budget management and CRM hygiene, with accurate and timely reporting in Salesforce.
  • Establish and track the business KPIs for the market in close collaboration with Sales Operations and Finance, and improve win rate through better qualification and earlier technical engagement.
  • Run a clear sales cadence — annual, quarterly, monthly and weekly — and provide frequent, credible updates to regional and senior management.
  • Work with marketing and inside sales to drive demand generation, pipeline conversion and funnel management, with particular focus on moving early-stage opportunities forward rather than accumulating them.
  • Collaborate across sales, AE, marketing, product, customer success and operations to align priorities and deliver effective customer solutions.
