Organization & Role


We are seeking a Senior RF Connector Engineer to lead product development for electrical connectors and signal delivery subsystems for the next 
generation of Teradyne semiconductor test solutions. Teradyne’s products impose particularly demanding requirements on connectors, and the Senior 
RF Connector Engineer develops the special solutions. This individual works closely with Product Marketing to understand customer needs, 
and with Product Development to implement new designs.

  • High signal density
  • Precise impedance control
  • Effective electromagnetic isolation 
  • Reliable blind mating over a long cycle life
  • Low cost
  • Synthesis of requirements from multiple market segments and applications.
  • Development of high-level product objectives into discrete, specific product requirements.
  • Effective collaboration with global supply base to arrive at economically viable solutions.
  • Technical leadership of development teams, including oversight of design, simulation, testing, troubleshooting, and qualification. Effective project management.
  • Contributions to initiatives throughout the company as a subject matter expert for connector and signal delivery design and analysis.
  • Development of long-term technical capability roadmaps to support market changes over time.
  • Effective interaction with customers to solve problems, build understanding, and foster collaborative relationships.

Basic Qualifications & Skills


Minimum 10 years of experience in product development.


  • Proficiency in fundamentals of signal integrity, including electromagnetic theory, designing for impedance control, minimizing dielectric losses, and controlling electromagnetic emissions. Familiarity with CST Microwave, HFSS, ADS, Matlab, and similar tools. 
  • Experience developing electrical connectors, including materials, analysis, and testing with VNA, TDR.
  • Fluency in mechanical fabrication methods including machining, forming, etching, plating and thin-film deposition methods.
  • Leadership and communication skills for effective influence with customers, collaboration with internal teammates, and directing international suppliers.
  • Creativity, initiative, and drive to bring innovative and challenging products to market.
  • Disciplined and methodical engineering rigor and careful attention to detail.



Minimum B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or related field, with minimum 10 years of experience in product development.
