This resource will primarily provide technical and functional support for various applications developed in-house as well as packaged/cloud applications involving ServiceNow, Atlassian Products like Jira Software/Service Management, IBM Sterling B2B Integrator (EDI), Primavera Project and Portfolio Management (PPM) etc.

In addition to the support, this resource will also provide development, maintenance and customization support for all components related to those applications. Will work cross functionally with other teams to troubleshoot and resolve integration issues. Interface with business users directly to implement new features or troubleshoot and resolve application related issues.


Essential Functions of the Job:


  • Provide techno-functional support for applications including ServiceNow, Atlassian Jira Software/Service Management, IBM Sterling B2B Integrator (EDI), Primavera Project and Portfolio Management (PPM) etc.
  • Develop/enhance application related components and utilities using PERL, UNIX/Linux shell scripting, monitor scheduled/cron jobs etc.
  • Develop/enhance application related components and utilities using .Net, ASP, Visual Basic, VB Scripting, Java scripting, XML etc.
  • Involve in creation/maintenance of database level stored procedures, triggers, functions, packages and use/understand complex SQL statements.
  • Monitor applications/database components for errors/performance issues and take corrective actions. Report /escalate critical issues with manager and other teams.
  • Troubleshoot application related and Operating system related issues by checking error logs, event logs
  • Work cross functionally with upstream / downstream applications, coordinate with multiple teams, follow-up and fix integration related issues.
  • Analyze performance issues, fix bugs and troubleshoot problems. Identify root cause and recommend permanent fix.
  • Learn new technologies / products in a short span of time, adapt to the new environment and provide efficient support.
  • Maintain and regularly update all application related technical, support and knowledge documentation.
  • Researching emerging technologies and possible application to the project/program.
  • Recommend products, innovations and process changes to improve the quality of service.


Knowledge and Skills Requirements:


To qualify, candidates must have:

  • Administration/development experience in ServiceNow
  • Experience supporting and managing Atlassian products like Jira Software/Service Management
  • Knowledge on IBM Sterling B2B Integrator/ EDI concepts is a plus
  • Any experience in developing/supporting COLDFUSION web applications is a plus
  • 1 – 3 years of experience being a part of a development/support team, taking ownership of multiple applications/portfolios in an ADM engagement.
  • 1 – 3 years of working in a cross matrix /cross platform dynamic environment. Ability to understand integrations, work/process flows and work with multiple teams to drive problems to closure.
  • 1 – 3 Years of hands-on experience using UNIX/LINUX environment and developing applications using PERL, UNIX Shell scripting
  • 1+ years of experience in developing and supporting applications using .Net, ASP, Visual Basic, VBScript, JAVA, JavaScript
  • 1+ years of experience using Oracle, SQL Server databases (Stored Procedures, Triggers, Functions, Packages, SSIS, SSRS. and other database concepts)
  • Very good troubleshooting skills and excellent communication skills
  • Ability to create and maintain user guides and other technical documents
