Logistics Analyst

Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  • Write or revise standard operating procedures for logistics processes.
  • Identify opportunities for inventory reductions and inventory optimization through the analysis of part usage and back order trends.
  • Monitor industry standards, trends, or practices to identify developments in logistics planning or execution.
  • Work with planners to determines parts availability and replenishment.
  • Prepare reports on logistics performance measures.
  • Maintain logistics records in accordance with corporate policies and trade compliance requirements.
  • Communicate with or monitor service providers, such as warehouse service providers, air freight forwarders, global consolidators, customs brokers, or domestic trucking companies.
  • Review procedures, such as distribution or inventory management, to ensure maximum efficiency or minimum cost.
  • Provide ongoing analysis in areas such as warehouse handling and storage costs, back orders, or delivery processes and develop or maintain models for logistics uses such as costing estimating or demand forecasting.
  • Coordinate with transportation team to recognize shipping schedules to consolidate loads to reduce freight while balancing fulfillment cycle time.
  • Monitor warehouse storage and coordinate with planner on aged inventory to reduce storage space to minimize cost.
  • Other duties may be assigned by Warehouse Supervisor or Warehouse Manager.

 

Basic Qualifications, Experience, Skills & Education Required:

 

  • Minimum 3 years relevant work experience; Degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Logistics or Related Field.
  • Able to work independently and as part of team
  • Excellent Analytical, problem-solving , writing , interpersonal and communications skills
  • Experience in effective managing and leading warehouse/logistics related project.
  • Good team skills to be able to with others  (across all related departments or functions that has direct or indirect impact to area of work
  • Good resource deployment and planning skills
  • Ability to multitask
  • Good knowledge of logistics, warehouse or supply chain knowledge.
  • Good MS office skills (excel, word, ppt  & project management)
  • Ability to work in an autonomous environment
  • Excellent project management know ledged and  skills.
