Systems Security Engineer

Duties and Responsibilities:

•    Understanding complex technical issues and managing them within a fast-paced business environment
•    Identifying current and emerging technology issues including security trends, vulnerabilities, and threats
•    Triage security incidents from a wide variety of sources, including SIEM, threat intelligence, security systems, and employees
•    Manage analysis and response to detected events and security incidents, escalating where appropriate
•    Sourcing and implementing new security solutions to better protect the organization
•    Conducting proactive research to analyze security weaknesses and recommend appropriate strategies
•    Organizing the maintaining and updating of security systems and testing the organization’s network and systems for resiliency
•    Develop, maintain, and implement SOC related policies, controls, and procedures


Basic Qualifications and Requirements

•    A minimum of seven years of IT experience, with five years in an information security capacity
•    A network engineer, telecom engineer, or BS/BE degree in computer science, cyber security, or related IT fields
•    Proven work experience as a network security engineer
•    A track record in Incident Response and Investigations
•    Thorough understanding of the latest security technologies, principles, and protocols.
•    Complete command on dealing with security systems, intrusion detection systems, firewalls, anti-virus software, log management, authentication systems, content filtering, SIEM, etc
•    Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, at both technical and management levels
•    Experience planning, prioritizing, and organizing work in all required areas



•    Strong knowledge of Palo Alto products
•    Recognized security certification(s)
•    Working knowledge of NIST, MITRE ATT&CK and D3FEND frameworks
•    Knowledge of computer forensic tools, data loss prevention, and disaster recovery methods
