Quality Systems Engineer

Job Responsibilities:


  • Responsible for driving continuous improvement activities by maintaining the following key elements of the Global Operations Quality Management System
  • Corrective Action
  • Training
  • Documentation Control
  • Internal Audit


 QMS metrics


  • Responsible to channel customer 8D requests within the organization, determine best suited team(s) to address the issue, assign team leader and task owners, support them thorough the root cause work and until final approval of the corrective action is obtained from Senior Management
  • Lead a regular QMS management review meeting with global participation
  • Communicate/market/influence the deployment of the QMS throughout the Global Ops organization
  • Conduct internal audits and drive corrective of Teradyne’s business systems in all departments globally
  • Develop material and deploy Quality themed training throughout the organization

Expectation is there will be frequent travel to US or Asia Ops sites included in the Quality System to work with local teams and conduct audit program. Usually 1 or 2 trips per quarter each from 1 to 2 weeks long.





  • Degree in Engineering and/or Business
  • Fully Bilingual English/Spanish
  • Minimum of 3 years of professional experience applying and leading Quality Systems related activities.
  • Experienced leading Continuous Improvement initiatives
  • Experienced and knowledgeable with ISO 9001:2015
  • Significant plus for six sigma black belt, ASQ certified Quality engineer/manager/auditor or other quality related certifications
  • Experienced with international travel.
  • Very strong communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Ability to influence without authority.
  • Great attention to details and ability to multitask. 
  • Strong Data Analysis skills.
  • Tenacious; does not give up at the first "No"
  • Willingness to adjust working hours to meet deadlines and work with global teams
