The Innovation Lab is an advanced R&D team that is part of the Semiconductor Test Division at Teradyne.   We a dual charter to technically support the growth of the division and company:

  1. Create long term differentiated solutions for our core Semiconductor Test business by exploring new technologies and architectures to be applied against current and emerging key requirements for our customers.
     
  2. Working with our Business Development Office, develop differentiated solutions to new business opportunities that are relatively adjacent to our core business.  These will generally enable new businesses within our existing customer base.

 

This is a hybrid position based out of our North Reading office.

Responsibilities

The Program Manager is responsible for the successful management of cost, schedule and scope management of multiple projects or subsystems of major programs. The successful candidate must be able to manage change, escalate issues, and take an active role in getting decisions made in a timely manner.  This position reports int the Senior Director of the Innovation Lab with a dotted line into the Teradyne Program Management Office (PMO) to reinforce the use of best program management practices and processes.

  • Facilitating the creation of project schedules.
  • Identify and coordinate internal and external resources to execute the plan. 
  • Integrate various engineering, marketing, applications engineering and support groups in the initiating, planning and execution (including mid-course corrections as necessary) of projects.
  • Monitor and close programs/projects to achieve program objectives. 
  • Use industry standard techniques and tools to measure progress against product and program objectives.
  • Drive proactive corrective action where required.
  • Manage scope change control activities and communicate periodic project assessment to sponsors. 
     

Basic Qualifications & Skills

  • 8+ years of experience in project management.
  • Engineering and/or Program Management background with experience in product development in the high technology industry.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills including ability to communicate and foster communication between project groups.
  • Experience managing team elements in multiple geographic locations.

 

Education

  • Bachelor of Science
  • Association with PMI and Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
