Business Development Manager (BDM)

 

Duties & Responsibilities


In this position you will be a key business partner with sales, financial planning, engineering, technical marketing, legal, operations and various other groups within Teradyne. Key skills include networking, persuasion, identification of customer needs and challenges, market knowledge, technical, analytical, communication, organizational and interpersonal skills. This position requires a self-motivated individual with a mix of technical and business interests and capabilities.

Duties include:

 

 

  • Advocating for customers in the factory environment
  • Coordinating multiple stakeholders from various disciplines to address customer issues
  • Support the sales team with their Design-in efforts
  • Understanding and executing account strategies
  • Developing volume purchase agreements
  • Deal development and analysis
  • Ensuring appropriate revenue recognition and acceptances of systems
  • Sales forecast tracking, managing and aligning within operations
  • Demand side capacity planning and analysis
  • Identifying and resolving customer satisfaction issues
  • Developing and negotiating contracts; integrating contract requirements with business operations
  • Exploring new business opportunities with the sales teams
  • Ensuring that data is accurately entered and managed within Lotus Notes forecasting system
  • Suggesting and implementing improvements in the sales administration process
  • Partnering with sales and other cross-functional teams to improve quote-to-cash process accuracy and efficiency.
  • Providing ongoing support to the sales organization to ensure optimization of revenue and sales operations processes
  • Troubleshooting billing, accounting, collections, and other business issues
     

 

Basic Qualifications, Experience, Skills & Education Required

 

  • 8 + years of professional experience
  • Detail-oriented, strategic thinker
  • Thrives on ambiguity
  • Good interpersonal and communication

 

Education

 

  • BS/BA required, MBA a plus
