We are seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to support Teradyne’s Aerospace and Defense business unit.  This unit conducts business solely on a commercial firm fixed price basis, which results in assisting the Commercial Item Determination and price justification process.





  • Proactive in establishing, managing, administrating, and maintaining the documented contractual relationship of Teradyne’s Aerospace and Defense customers and subcontractors.
  • Participate in the negotiation of contract terms, research government regulations, advise on applications to existing and future contracts, track and update agreements, certifications, and schedules.
  • Aid in the preparation of contractual provisions and the administration of contract proposals.
  •  Responsible for negotiating, drafting, revising, and providing advice regarding other commercial contracts, such as confidentiality agreements, services agreements, sales agreement, value added resellers agreements and distributor agreements.
  • Provide Contract and procurement planning, pre–award documentation preparation, price backup support for commercial products, and post-award contract change support.
  • Utilizes working knowledge of regulations including Uniform Commercial Code (UCC), the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), FAR supplements (e.g. DFARS) and other agency regulations.


Required Qualifications and Skills




  • 5-10 years of Government Contracting experience. Experience with Federal contract negotiations and Contract Management functions
  • Must have knowledge of ITAR and FOUO contract requirements.
  • Proven ability to assess risks and provide advice regarding managing risks, while achieving business objectives
  • Ability to work independently and take the initiative to handle contractual challenges, multiple project oversight, and develop quick turn-around strategies Strong communication, negotiation, and project management skills. Ability to take complex subjects and legal concepts and put them in easy-to-understand terms.
  • Must be detail orientated and possess the ability to review & assess complex contracts
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Motivated, responsible, and reliable.  Requires minimal daily supervision
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills
  • Must have the ability to find solutions to an array of tasks and requirements




Bachelor’s degree  (Business Degree is a strong plus).   Master's degree is also a plus
