Information Security Officer

The Information Security Officer (ISO) establishes the information security strategy for the organization and directs the implementation and monitoring of information security standards and policies and reports directly to Teradyne’s Chief Information Officer. The ISO provides information security guidance to executive leadership within the organization by recommending appropriate information security investments and practices. The ISO is responsible for managing risks relating to information security, business continuity planning, crisis management, privacy, and compliance. 

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Establish the organizational strategy, policies, and standards for Information Security. This will include identifying and protecting against key threats relative to the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information assets of the Company. 
  • Act as a strategic advisor to the business heads and Teradyne subsidiaries on cyber security issues 
  • Support the development and rollout of new products and services with embedded security and resiliency. 
  • Champion cybersecurity across businesses while supporting enterprise IT and business specific priorities vision and roadmaps. 
  • Create a cyber aware culture where every employee and third party are aware of their responsibilities in line with our policies. 
  • Function as an advisor to compliance teams for matters of policy violations and manage security events; coordinate with law enforcement as required. 
  • Ensure the consistent implementation and oversight of information security policies and practices across the company working closely with the business heads, CIO, General Counsel and their teams. 
  • Conduct periodic risk assessments to proactively identify and remediate risks. Support information security and third-party audits as required. 
  • Report to CIO, CFO, CEO, and Board on key risks and management’s plans to remediate them. Ensure information security risk is managed within the risk appetite approved by the leadership and Board. 
  • Integrate security by design through the supply chain and product development lifecycle. 
  • Lead security incident response efforts, and work with internal stakeholders, third party partners, and outside experts to establish and communicate security standards and best practices 

 

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Minimum ten years’ experience in information security with a Fortune-1000 company or a leading government agency 
  • Advanced technical or analytical degree (CIS, BMath, Bachelor of Science), and/or commensurate experience, is required. CISSP/CIPP or CISM/CIPM preferred 
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive leadership experience in information security and privacy 
  • Strategic thinker that blends business, technology and risk management skills and experiences 
  • Demonstrated leadership ability to define strategy and drive change across a large organization. 
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with the Board and other senior executives as well as inspire teams. 
  • Strong technical skills and prior experience across cloud technologies, modern application development, product security, operations security, data protection and vendor risk management areas 
  • Demonstrated experience executing projects at scale across business and technology teams 
  • Relationships with industry peers, government agencies and security vendors
