Duties & Responsibilities:
Teradyne is the leading supplier of Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) automatic test equipment (ATE) used by defense and aerospace electronics manufacturers, depots and intermediate-level facilities worldwide. As an Applications Engineer in the Defense and Aerospace division Quality Engineering Group, you will:
- Play a key role in the product development process including involvement in customer opportunities and problem solving
- Serve as a contributor in a software and product test group, developing applications and test cases to support Instruments and integrated test systems.
- Design sophisticated analog and digital test interfaces
- Provide technical support in product demonstrations
- Stay on top of rapid changes in technology, assess the ramifications of these changes, advocate solutions, and support new product development
Basic Qualifications, Experience, & Skills:
- 5-10 years of experience
- Automatic Test Equipment knowledge preferred.
- Hardware instrumentation experience with GPIB, MXI/MXIe, PXI/PXIe, LXI, VXI controlled test instruments and automated test systems preferred.
- Detailed knowledge of software test techniques, case modeling and automated test techniques required
- Experience creating test program sets using C, C++, and/or C# required
- Experience with software development environments in Microsoft .Net, National Instruments CVI, and Visual Studio preferred
- Excellent verbal, written, organizational, analytical and PC skills
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills are needed to succeed in this position
- Must meet ITAR/FOUO requirements
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree (BSEE, ECE, CS, ET) or equivalent work experience.
