The international headquarters of Teradyne in North Reading, MA is looking for a Senior FPGA Design Engineer to join the Titan System-Level Test group to join the Titan System-Level Test group in the design of Automated Testing Systems for IC’s. This group is part of our semiconductor test organization, testing the world’s leading commercial devices. Come join our team!

Responsibilities

  • Take part in Hardware system architecture discussions
  • Provide insight and direction during schematic development
  • Architecture, design, implementation, verification, test of FPGA’s for automated test equipment
  • Work with Hardware and Software teams to define scalable, high-performance, high-quality, extensible, and maintainable FPGA devices and IP
  • Hands-on execution of product integration and verification testing and debug
  • Define and perform prototyping and characterization experiments
  • Digital PCB Design a plus
  • PCB Circuit Design from high-level architecture, through component selection, schematic capture, and layout review
  • Design complex multi-layer PCB's with FPGA's, Power supplies, ADC's and high- and low-speed digital interfaces

Basic Qualifications & Skills

  • Technical Focus: Digital FPGA design, design for test, design verification, Digital PCBA design, High speed layout constraints
  • Technologies: FPGA, PCIe, AXI, DDRx, SERDES, USB, I2C, SPI, 10/100GE, PLL, DLL, ADC, DAC, JTAG,
  • Able to read, understand and create new schematics
  • Experience with Zynq, MPSoC,
  • Languages: Verilog, System Verilog, TCL
  • Operating Systems: Windows, Linux,
  • Development Tools: Xilinx(Vivado), Intel(Quartus), Cadence Schematic & PCB, Spice
  • Lab Equipment: DMM, Oscilloscope, Protocol Analyzer
  • Excellent troubleshooting, debugging, and problem solving skills
  • Experience working in cross-functional teams designing electromechanical systems
  • Commitment to excellence, efficiency, and product quality

Education

  • BS, MS  in electrical engineering OR related field from a university or engineering institution 
  • Minimum of 10 years of practical hardware development experience
