Organization & Role

We are looking for a Hardware Development Manager  (PCB Hardware Design Manager) to join the Titan System-Level Test group in the design of Automated Testing Systems for IC’s. This group is part of our semiconductor test organization, testing the world’s leading commercial devices.

Responsibilities

  • This is a hands-on working manager position, managing a team of up to 10 engineers and leading and bringing insight to system architecture discussions. 
  • Manage a team that designs PCB's with processors and various high speed digital busses including, FPGA’s, Power Supplies, ADC’s, PCIe / USB on complex multi-layer PCB.
  • Engage, mentor, support and empower staff in their development.
  • Provide opportunities and mentorship for junior engineers work closely. with multi-discipline design teams including Mechanical, Thermal, Software and Firmware to design new platform.
  • Engage in architecture discussions with customers, marketing and cross functional teams in the organization. 
  • Supervise design from high-level architecture, through component selection, schematic capture, layout review, design verification and customer ship.
  • Experience leading a remote team.
  • Position will require occasional travel to Asia to meet with customers when needed.

Basic Qualifications & Skills

  • 2-5 years of direct management experience 
  • A minimum of 5 years in high speed digital circuit design (5+ Gbps) (PCIe, USB, serdes, SPI, FPGA) 
  • Knowledge of transmission line theory 
  • Full life cycle design experience from architecture to product release to manufacturing and customer support
  • Lab debugging and verification of PCBs
  • Experience with PCB tools such as Cadence Allegro

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required
  • Master's degree preferred
