Head of Global Talent Acquisition, Center of Excellence Leader

The Head of the Talent Acquisition COE is of critical importance to the ongoing success of Teradyne.  This is a strategic leadership position providing global direction to the Talent Acquisition function. Reporting to the Global Director of Talent Management, this individual will be responsible for the overall strategy, tools, training, standards, and metrics for Talent Acquisition while supporting Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion initiatives.


Specific Responsibilities:

  • Provide thought leadership and drive key strategies to source, screen, select, and finalize the hiring of highly qualified individuals for employment
  • Provide guidance/leadership to recruiters that support the business segment
  • Support Teradyne and its subsidiaries branding initiatives and ensures the team has access consistently to promote our brands
  • Strategize with executives, leaders, hiring managers, HR Business Partners, and HR Field organization on various talent solutions
  • Build and sustain an effective and responsive campus recruitment framework and function that partners with various key internal stakeholders and which can be globalized and localized
  • Coordinate with 3rd party vendors and agencies to ensure that all services related to Talent Acquisition are meeting the needs of the organization
  • Network and benchmark regularly with industry peers to understand the latest advances in the Talent Acquisition environment
  • Present recruitment metrics, strategic sourcing plan, and drive actionable areas for improvement
  • Utilize, adhere, and train recruiters on recruitment systems, policies, procedures, tools, and templates to ensure streamlined, effective, and high-quality services are delivered
  • Ensure compliance with relevant local and federal regulations and requirements, including but not limited to, OFCCP, EEOC, Federal Selection Guidelines, and the Americans with Disabilities Act
  • Support diversity and inclusion initiatives within the talent acquisition function, offering team resources and recommendations to achieve goals
  • Drive process improvements around systems, tools, and enhanced sourcing capabilities
  • Develop Onboarding strategy to increase new hire engagement and effectiveness
  • Attend or ensure team participation if needed around career fairs, and special events to promote our careers
  • Contribute best practices and standard operating procedures


Candidate Profile/Background

  • BA and/or 10-15 years of relevant, end-to-end recruitment experience with an emphasis on strategic recruiting leadership and managing direct and indirect reports in a mid-to-large size global organization
  • Passionate customer focus, with a proven track record of effective consultation and partnership with business line leadership
  • Ability to use data analysis and data visualization skills to influence business leaders and decision making
  • Sense of urgency with thoughtful and disciplined execution and project ownership
  • Team player with proven experience building strong relationships through collaboration and networking
  • Solid understanding of US employment laws and regulations
  • Awareness of global employment laws and regulations
  • Passionate customer focus, with exceptional written and verbal communication skills, as well as presentation skills to include advising and liaising across all levels of the organization
  • Problem solving skills, demonstrated experience handling challenging issues in a diverse and dynamic environment
  • Well-developed and highly effective organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to objectively coach, mentor, and develop team members
  • Excellent MS Office skills (advanced PowerPoint and Excel)



Six-figure base salary with annual bonus, generous profit sharing, comprehensive benefits, and a hybrid and flexible work arrangement.  North Reading, MA is the HQ location.  Some travel (up to 20%) may be required in the future.
