The Program Manager will be in charge of the overall, end-to-end program, from shaping the approach to get the desired outcomes through to delivery. The position includes coordinating projects and resource management within the program, stakeholder and sponsor communications, reporting, and engagement.   • Responsible for the delivery of various IT projects from concept through final implementation.
  • Establishes and ensures appropriate stakeholder management and governance functions for the program in accordance with enterprise policies, practices and on behalf of the executive sponsor.
  • Leads reviews and regular interactions with the executive sponsor to inform, alert, negotiate and maintain a continuing good relationship and shared vision for the program outcome.
  • Understand existing business processes and serve as an IT Program Management subject matter expert (SME).
  • Review project proposals or plans to determine timeframe, funding limitations, and procedures for accomplishing projects, staffing requirements, and allotment of available departmental resources to various project phases.
  • Directs or approves the establishment of framework/guidelines for the use of contractors and professional service providers, and determines their use across the program.
  • Work closely with end users, business technologists and others to understand business goals and information needs, and then develop system requirements and design specifications; direct efforts to refine conceptual systems design requirements into technical design.

Basic Qualifications & Skills

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in Program or Project Management. 
  • Experience leading >$1M programs or projects in a mid-cap company or larger.
  • Experience with one or more project/program management methodologies (such as PMI PMBOK, PRINCE2, Agile and MSP)and across a range of project types.
  • Knowledge of project planning tools, such as Smartsheet, Jira, Microsoft Project and Project Server, with evidence of practical application.
  • Ability to manage internal and external projects from inception to successful implementation.
  • Solid understanding of software development process, including requirements gathering, analysis/design, development tools/technologies, release/version control, contemporary testing methodologies and deployment management.
  • Strong analysis, design and implementation experience with technologies.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; expertise in setting and managing customer expectations.
  • Skill in conceptualizing creative solutions, as well as documenting them and presenting/selling them to senior management.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of business needs, with the ability to establish and maintain a high level of customer trust and confidence.  A customer centric mindset with the ability to manage client expectations.

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver against financial and resource constraints.
  • Deep understanding of current and emerging technologies, how other enterprises are employing them to drive digital business, and how they may be applied to the enterprise to drive digital business.
  • Certified Sig Sigma Greenbelt, DMAIC continuous improvement model, or LEAN certification.



  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in computer science, IT, business administration or related disciplines required.
