Master Scheduler/Business Analyst

Organization & Role

In the Master Scheduler role, you will support groups both in North Reading, Malaysia, and the Philippines, who all produce manufacturing of our Storage Test and Hard Disk Drive equipment.  In addition, we work with many suppliers on direct shipments of new product.   You will be a part of a New Product Development team that supports both internal product development requirements and external customers.   As a team member you will work cross-functionally with sales, marketing, and finance by helping with operations, purchasing, planning, and scheduling.  If you enjoy integration work, this role offers the opportunity to integrate with global suppliers and Teradyne teams to ensure our products can reach the market with a quick introduction cadence.  Are you a people person and team focused?  Then this is for you.  Come join our team!


  • •    Ownership of new products/platforms in System Level Test. Responsible for forecasting material, aligning to customer requirements, and managing overall inventory pipeline while adhering to planning policies and goals.
  • •    Use strategic planning to interface with Marketing, Sales, Finance, Supply Chain and New Product groups to set and help maintain the master schedule and inventory positions in support of company objectives.
  • •    Construct performance analysis of current operations methodologies to formulate, plan and implement the required changes to systems, processes, and functions to support New Product Introduction objectives of the division.
  • •    Collaborate with Sales and Marketing on New Product quote and order strategy.
  • •    Work with New Product Planners to analyze and understand supply and manufacturing constraints and resolve issues.
  • •    Identify inventory risks, constraints, customer demand changes and liability profile.  Provide management with summary of business impact on decisions involving these categories.
  • •    Coordinate with New Product Planners on updates to finance and operations on excess and obsolete inventory, based on demand changes
  • •    Responsible for weekly meetings on Demand image and coordination with Production Master Scheduler on overlap with shared Production resources
  • Ownership of building cost models for new products

Basic Qualifications & Skills


  • •    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills including trend analysis and exception-based management.
  • •    Ability to assess risk versus reward during forecasting process
  • •    Thorough knowledge of MRP and planning
  • •    Proficient at using Excel and PowerPoint.
  • •    Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • •    Ability to present at upper-level management meetings
  • •    Must be able to juggle many different activities and prioritize accordingly.
  • •    Working knowledge of Oracle 11i, Teamcenter and/or Kinaxis Rapid Response is a plus.
  • •    ITAR required
  • 3-5yrs experience
