Organization & Role

 

The Teradyne Operations team is looking for a highly motivated, energetic, driven Planner to focus on material plans that support our internal and external customers with on time delivery. The Planner must be a driven problem solver to support customer requests, and project plans while working to reduce lead-time and cost.  The planner must ensure that plans are met while working to minimize excess and obsolescence. The planner must be a strong communicator to describe a material plan that supports the customer and describe the costs and risks to do so to Senior Management.

Responsibilities

 

•    Open and manage work orders as well as close them efficiently without any variance
•    Analyze risks and develop mitigation plans for product being transferred to contract manufacturers
•    Establish inventory strategies that support business objectives of on time delivery while minimizing excess and obsolescence
•    Ability to work with global supply base to align material to support build plans
•    Escalate and resolve critical issues within the supply chain
•    Quickly respond to any changes in customer requests by doing supply chain simulations and analysis with suppliers to provide the best delivery date possible
•    Work with suppliers as well as internal teams to reduce material lead-times and cost
•    Ability to clearly communicate to Senior Management

Basic Qualifications & Skills

 

  • Strong understanding of MRP 
  • Experience with MS Office
  • Ability to identify problems then recommend a solution and implement
  • Experience working with Contract Manufacturing

 

Desired, but not required skills:

 

  • Experience working with global supply-chains
  • Excellent problem solving
  • Solid presentation skills

Education

 

•    BS in Business Administration/Industrial Engineering or equivalent degree
•    Minimum of 6 years of supply chain or planning experience
