Senior HW Verification/Test Development Engineer

Teradyne is looking for a Senior HW Verification/Test Development Engineer with a strong background in DC and Power electronics,
test development, and product verification. This is a senior level position focused on developing custom test hardware and software
solutions to verify Teradyne’s state of the art new products. As a senior staff member, you will also provide technical guidance to
other team members and provide project leadership as well. The Hardware Verification/Test Development team works closely with product
development, the new product introduction team, and operations, to successfully bring high quality new products to market.
Responsibilities
- Developing test concepts and techniques, custom test hardware, and software test solutions to verify Teradyne’s latest DC and Power instrumentation
- Providing technical expertise and mentoring to others in the development of measurement methodologies, test concepts, detailed test design, custom test hardware designs including PCBAs, software development, and other technical process steps
- Planning, leading, and executing the hardware and product verification aspect of new product development, from concept through production release.
- Championing the advancement of new test and measurement technologies and launching proof of concept initiatives
- Ensuring that Teradyne products are meeting functional, performance, and quality requirements.
Qualifications and Skills
- Experience with C/C++ and/or C# programming. Experience with Agile software development process is preferred.
- Experience in the development of DC and Power automated verification tests and techniques
- Full product life cycle experience from concept stage to product release, to manufacturing and customer support is a plus.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Ability to lead others, setting goals and objectives, monitoring metrics and progress, and empowering the team to be successful.
- Ability to set clear direction and priorities, organize activities, and lead the team to hit project objectives.
- Strong ability to work cross-functionally, able to work with others on shared objectives and work quickly and collaboratively to solve problems and overcome challenges.
- Strong communication skills, ability to communicate at different levels of abstraction and provide periodic updates to senior management.
Education and Experience
BSEE required/MSEE preferred
7+ years of demonstrated experience in the development of DC and Power automated verification tests and techniques
2+ years of demonstrated experience leading verification teams of 3 to 6 engineers
