Organization & Role

 

Teradyne Field applications team is looking for a highly motivated, and driven Field Applications engineer who will work collaboratively with the team as well as independently to develop imaginative, thorough, and practical applications solutions.

Responsibilities

 

  • Devise innovative techniques for testing and characterizing leading edge devices.
  • Develop and debug semi-conductor test programs written in C++.
  • Creatively solve the customer’s test solution issues to keep their production flowing.
  • Continually improve Teradyne’s application quality to ensure future reliability.
  • Provide software and hardware development, debug, and consultation.
  • Create demonstration development programs and presentations.
  • Develop competitive benchmarks to differentiate us from the competition.
  • Work with Sales and Marketing to develop sales and support strategies.
  • Align execution with Project Management best practices and expectations.
  • Write and present technical papers at our professional conference, Teradyne Users Group.
  • Teach technical classes and seminars to customers and Teradyne engineers.
  • Travel to customer sites to support Design, Test, Product, and Manufacturing Engineers.
  • Travel requirements may be 25% or greater.

 

Basic Qualifications & Skills

 

  • Knowledge of digital and analog test techniques.
  • Prefer knowledge of EV/MST.
  • Able to work independently and on a team.
  • Strong analytical and practical problem-solving skills.
  • Strong proven interpersonal and relationship building skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Education

 

  • BS Degree or higher degree in EE or related fields
