Organization & Role

Teradyne Costa Rica is seeking a highly motivated project manager with experience leading multiple technology, product and/or continuous improvement projects with cross-functional teams. The successful candidate will work with internal and external customers, be responsible for project charter, project planning, project work, project controlling and project closing. This candidate will have responsibility of all aspects of project performance, related to scope, schedule, including risk mitigation, variance recovery, engagement of core teams, and most importantly customer satisfaction.


The Project Manager is responsible for the successful management of cost, schedule and scope of projects or subsystems of major programs. The successful candidate must be able to manage change, escalate issues, and take a leadership role in getting decisions made in a timely manner. Responsibilities include:

  • Facilitate the definition of project goals, tasks and resource requirements.
  • Develops and or maintains project plans including project objectives, deliverables, timelines and status reports.
  • Document and communicate meeting minutes, action items/issues, risks and key decisions.
  • Coordinates activities of project team members to ensure goals or objectives are accomplished or will meet desired goal.
  • Prioritize tasks to meet deliverables and commitments on time.
  • Facilitates follow-up on action items, reviews project risks and issues to ensure realistic expectations are set
  • Provide visibility of project progress, identify and manage project risks and related action plans.
  • Review, prioritize and facilitate inbound change requests. Identifies problems early, proactively solicits solutions and escalates before problems become major.
  • Facilitates and provides effective communication between all project stakeholders.
  • Deals comfortably with senior management and can present and converse with people in positions of authority.

Basic Qualifications & Skills

  • BA or BS in Computer Science, Engineering or other Technical Field is required.
  • 3+ years’ experience as an IT project management professional.
  • Demonstrated experience planning and managing projects of various sizes.
  • Demonstrated success managing projects and relationships at distance.
  • Strong people skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are desired as well as having experienced in business applications processes/domains and/or IT infrastructure processes/domains.
  • Having Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or Master Degree is a plus.
