Together, we deliver manufacturing automation across industries and applications around the world! We are seeking an experienced Field Application Engineer to support Teradyne’s Aerospace and Defense business unit.  

Responsibilities

  • Establish and Maintain the Technical Relationship in an Account.
  • Prepare and Present Product Briefings.
  • Prepare Customer Demonstrations and Manage Evaluations.
  • Attend and Contribute at Technical Conferences.
  • Respond to Customer Requests for Proposals and Statements of Work.
  • Work with Factory Engineering to specify system configurations to meet customer test requirements.
  • Travel to customer locations approximately 50-75% of the time.
  • Support Internal and External Sales Representatives.
  • Manage Demonstration Hardware.
  • Play a key role in product development process including involvement in customer opportunities and problem solving.
  • Excellent verbal, written, organizational, analytical and PC skills.
  • Understanding of the Test Program Set (TPS) development process.
  • Proficiency with a C based language (ANSI, C++, C#).

 

Basic Qualifications & Skills

 

  • 15+ years’ experience in Test Engineering.
  • 10+ years’ experience in Defense and Aerospace industry.
  • 3+ years of field application experience.
  • Experience developing Test Program Sets utilizing Teradyne Instrumentation.
  • Experience configuring Test Systems based on User Requirements.
  • Experience working with the customer to finalize requirements to a statement of work.
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance (Secret or above).
  • U.S. Person as defined under ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations).

Education

  • BSEE or Equivalent
