Organization & Role

The Teradyne Hardware Engineering team seeks a highly-motivated, technically-driven engineer to focus on the design and development of automated instruments for products within the Memory Test division.

This position is for electronic product DESIGN. If you have project design experience incorporating, microcontrollers, DC-DC converters, embedded software or analog circuitry, we want to talk to you. This opening is a rare opportunity to learn from the best and contribute in areas like: high speed digital communication, complex power supply design, precision analog measurement and AC/DC circuit simulation using the latest tools and equipment.

 

Responsibilities

•    Design, implement and verify precision analog and digital instruments and systems for automated test equipment
•    Document board and system specifications prior to implementation
•    Work within a diverse group of talented and enthusiastic engineers with a passion for learning and improvement
•    Learn how to take a product from the idea stage to customer shipment
•    Define and perform prototyping and characterization experiments
•    Commitment to continuous product improvement
•    Commitment to learning new technologies and methodologies

Basic Qualifications & Skills

•   Solid theoretical understanding of Electrical Engineering fundamentals
•   Experience in the design and analysis of analog and digital circuitry
•   Experience with schematic capture and PC board layout
•   Excellent troubleshooting, debugging, and problem solving skills using oscilloscopes, DVMs and logic analyzers
•   Solid verbal and written skills
•   Ability to learn quickly

Education

•    BS, MS or equivalent in electrical engineering or related field from a university or accredited engineering institution
