Manufacturing & Test Engineer

We are looking to hire manufacturing & test engineer to work with engineering to develop test stations, building test stations and systems, documenting instructions, assist product engineering in testing, collecting data and providing feedback as needed.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Collaborates with hardware design engineering and DFM /DFT engineer in Design for Manufacturability /Test reviews through New Product Introduction process.
  • Work along with Product Engineering to define the test strategy, implement, and optimize test setup/processes at the CM including qualification of test fixtures, test equipment and test software
  • Deploy and provide training for Manufacturing Tests and Test Stations at Contract Manufactures for qualification builds
  • Help to develop test station procedures, preventative maintenance plans and troubleshooting guides to support onsite production and at CM as well.
  • Develop and implement new process and procedure.
  • Train contract manufacturer test engineers/technicians and provide technical support when needed
  • Analyze test data to increase manufacturing test yields and resolve issues.
  • Creating and Implementing Engineering Change Notices to update BOMs and drawings.
  • Monitor and drive quality improvement at suppliers and internally.
  • Working with suppliers on manufacturing defect root cause analysis and resolutions.

 

Basic Qualifications, Experience, Skills & Education:

 

  • BS degree with Electrical Engineering with 2+ years of experience in troubleshooting.
  • AS degree with 10+ years of experience in troubleshooting
  • Must be able to read and understand schematics, drawing, test procedure
  • Min 2-3 years of experience in manufacturing operations of electronic devices
  • Must have analytical and mature thinking, organized, team player with a high sense of urgency
  • Must be able to find creative ways to solve problems
  • Must be an extremely motivated individual.
  • Flexible to work with global suppliers with multiple time zones
  • Able to travel ~10%
  • Working knowledge of SolidWorks
