Manufacturing Engineer Lead

  • Collaborates with hardware design engineering in Design for Manufacturability /Test reviews through New Product Introduction process.
  • Direct and manage the activities of the manufacturing engineering group.  
  • Ability to lead and manage multiple projects across different product lines and teams. Manage and communicate project timelines and action plans effectively.
  • Works collaboratively with R&D Engineers, Test and Production departments to design, develop, test, and implement processes, tooling, and fixtures.
  • Leads effort to develop and maintain process Failure Modes and Effects Analyses (pFMEAs), reviews PFMEA on regular basis and assigns action to lower risks.
  • Develops and maintains documentation for design control, product configurations (e.g., bills-of-materials), and other quality system requirements.
  • Develop and implement new process and procedures.
  • Educate and promote a culture of continuous improvement across the operations organization.
  • High degree of adaptability; creative decision-making; and technical problem-solving abilities.
  • Selecting and maintaining engineering tools and processes appropriate for supported programs.
  • Oversee manufacturing fixture design including all fixture design related validations, build, documentation, and handoff to high volume production.



Basic Qualifications, Experience, Skills & Education:


  • BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering
  • Min 10 years of experience with 3 years leading a team of manufacturing and test engineering.



  • Familiarity with design process and phase gate reviews.
  • Must have analytical and mature thinking, organized, team player with a high sense of urgency
  • Must be able to find creative ways to solve problems
  • Proven success in leading high-performance teams, building teams and achieving results through cross functional collaboration.
  • Ability to align and communicate effectively and professionally across a range of technical disciplines with a broad slate of stakeholders, including management, peers, and suppliers.
  • Self-driven and extremely motivated individual.
  • Project management skills preferred.
  • Flexible to work with global suppliers with multiple time zones.
  • Able to travel ~10-20%.
  • Familiar with IPC standards and ISO standards.
  • Experience delivering performance coaching and discipline to direct reports.
