Test Applications Engineer

Applications Development Center group, part of the global Solutions Engineering Group (SEG) is looking for a highly motivated, passionate engineer to join our team. You will work on projects collaboratively with multi-functional teams across the company, as well as develop imaginative, detailed, and practical application solutions individually.

 

In this position, we are looking for a great foundation in the related core engineering areas (electronics and software development), such that advanced technical skills and expertise in the ATE industry can be quickly developed. Therefore, it is vital to have a growth attitude, and motivation to tackle a diverse range of tasks.

 

Initial Responsibilities Including:

  • Develop knowledge and expertise on semiconductor device testing.
  • Develop knowledge and expertise on Automated Test Equipment (ATE) - specifically the UltraFLEX family of Teradyne testers - with a focus on our Digital, Serial, DC, and RF areas.
  • Develop, debug, and deploy test solutions for semiconductor devices - often done in collaborative environment.
  • Provide technical consultation to Teradyne customers to improve production yield and/or resolve test application issues
  • Participate in project execution with mentorship & travel to customer sites (local & global) maybe required.

 

Growth Areas:

  • Develop strong customer relationships at a technical level, to gain a deeper insight of the current usage and future direction of our products.
  • Assess problems and recommend solutions on Teradyne ATE platforms to optimize customer efficiency and test quality.
  • Work directly with customer test engineers to understand and improve their test processes.
  • Work closely with the Teradyne engineering community on new product development –from requirements definition to product release to market and continuing through customer support.
  • Generate and deliver product training, as well as technical papers to both industry and Teradyne user groups.

 

Education & Experiences:

  • Degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering
  • Knowledgeable in electrical/electronics engineering fundamentals.
  • Competent with general software programming (C/C++, VB.NET) and common algorithms.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work within a team or individually – planning, execution, tracking, and reporting.
  • Basic knowledge about semiconductor device design, manufacturing, and/or testing is a plus.
  • Experience 0 - 2 years in a related technical field

 

This position requires employees to be fully vaccinated for onsite access.
