Opportunity Overview

The Field Application Engineer (ST4 Level) – SoC Tester will serve as a trusted technical advisor to customers in Korea, supporting the deployment, optimization, and adoption of Teradyne SoC test solutions. This role works closely with customers, sales, engineering, product development, and service teams to ensure successful implementation of advanced semiconductor test strategies and achievement of customer business objectives.

• Lead customer technical engagements related to SoC test solutions, including evaluation, implementation, qualification, and production ramp activities.
• Develop and deliver technical presentations, training, and application support for Teradyne automated test equipment and software platforms.
• Collaborate with customers to understand device test requirements and create optimized test methodologies and solutions.
• Build strong technical relationships with customer engineering teams and act as the primary application support contact.
• Support new product introductions, bring-up activities, debug efforts, and production readiness initiatives.
• Partner with Sales, Product Engineering, R&D, and Service teams to communicate customer requirements and drive solution improvements.
• Mentor customer and internal teams on best practices for SoC test development, debug, characterization, and production test deployment.
• Sustain and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through timely issue resolution, technical expertise, and proactive engagement.

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of semiconductor test, application engineering, product engineering, or related experience.
• Strong experience with SoC testing, characterization, validation, and production test methodologies.
• Hands-on experience with automated test equipment (ATE) and semiconductor test program development.
• Strong understanding of digital, mixed-signal, and semiconductor device test concepts.
• Experience with test automation, data analysis, and debugging tools.
• Knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing flows, yield improvement methodologies, and production support.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, communication, and customer-facing skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively across global and cross-functional teams.
• Preferred experience supporting Teradyne test platforms and semiconductor customers in Korea.
• Preferred experience with programming and scripting languages used in test development environments.
