Opportunity Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Engineering Director to lead a talented team of signal processing engineers in our San Jose office. The successful candidate will oversee the design, development, and implementation of advanced wireless and wireline waveforms and algorithms, ensuring high-quality and innovative solutions that meet the needs of our customers and bleeding edge technology. You will bring your extensive knowledge of wireless signal processing, software engineering, along with strong leadership skills and a commitment to driving excellence in all aspects of the design process.

• Leadership and Management: Provide effective leadership to the design engineering team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Need to work with cross functional teams within LitePoint as well as other divisions with Teradyne.
• Technical Expertise: Apply in-depth knowledge of software and hardware and challenge experts to drive results and on-time delivery. Drive methodological problem solving and corrective action both from internal teams and partners to meet customer requirements and timeline.
• Project Oversight: Oversee all stages of the design and development process, from initial concept to final implementation, ensuring projects are completed on time, and to the highest standards.  

• Customer Interaction: Maintain strong relationships with chip set customers, understanding their needs and providing expert guidance and support throughout the design process. 

• Resource Management: Manage team resources effectively, including personnel to optimize productivity and achieve project goals. 

• Training and Development: Support the professional growth of team members through mentoring, training programs, and performance evaluations. 

• Innovation and Research: Drive research and development initiatives to stay ahead of industry trends and integrate the latest technological advancements into our designs.

• Master’s degree in electrical engineering, or related discipline
• 15+ years’ experience in wireless signal process, with at least few years in a managerial or leadership role. Project Management background in multi-functional project environments
• Proven ability to lead and manage engineering teams, with strong interpersonal and communication skills. 
• Proven ability to collaborate effectively across multiple teams in multiple locations, cultures, and time zones.
• Proven expertise in Matlab, C and Python. Knowledge and familiarity of AI tools a plus
• Good knowledge of wireless standards Wi-Fi, BT, UWB, 4G/5G cellular
• Demonstrated ability to tackle complex technical challenges and develop innovative solutions
• Excellent project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
• Strong customer service orientation and the ability to build positive relationships with customers

Compensation:
The base salary range for this role is $219,600 - $351,400. This range is a good faith estimate, and the amount of base salary will correspond with experience and skill set. This range can also fluctuate depending on demand and location.

Incentive Plan: This job is eligible for discretionary bonus(es) based on financial performance.
