Director of Product Management and Business Development-  Integrated Systems Test Group

 

Teradyne’s Integrated System Test systems utilize complex high-speed automation to manipulate semiconductor and storage devices, position them in test fixtures which simulate their real-life usage, and determine whether product quality levels have been achieved in the manufacturing process.

 

The Director of Product Management and Business Development will be based in Massachusetts (hybrid flexibility). This role will report to the Vice President and General Manager of the Integrated Systems Test Business Group and is a key member of the group’s leadership team. This director role will have 4-6 direct reports. In this role you will lead the product strategy and definition, inbound marketing, outbound marketing and business development for storage and system level test products. The role involves collaborating and working with multiple teams in marketing, engineering, sales, and operations. The role also includes the understanding multiple markets - mobile, automotive, high power computing, etc. – and working alongside our customers who are small to large international semiconductor and storage companies.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate and Influence the organization to implement successful product strategies for our existing markets including Hard Disk Drive Test, Solid State Drive Test and Semiconductor System Level Test.
  • Identify, win and negotiate business with key customers. Ensure that customer commitments and support are delivered to Teradyne standards of quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Work collaboratively with Teradyne’s Semiconductor Test Division SOC Marketing team to leverage solutions for our common customers.
  • Establish and maintain a collaborative working environment across product management, project management, research and engineering development teams, including production operations and support.
  • Participation as leadership staff member in the strategic direction of the group.
  • Sponsorship and active support of design-ins including targeting, competitive differentiation, and resource allocation.
  • Development of competitive differentiation through sales and marketing collateral.
  • Coordination of key customer relationships and strategic engagement activities.
  • Participate in defining and the execution of the group’s mid-term plan.
  • Grow market share by prioritizing, targeting, and supporting strategic design-in activities, including resource trade-offs.
  • Product pricing strategy for the market, as well as working with sales on account discounting, including pricing approval to ensure rationalized pricing across the customer base.
  • Responsible for the searching and incubation of new business development opportunities that leverages the core capabilities of the group.

 

Basic Qualifications & Skills:

 

  • The ideal candidate will possess an advanced technical or business degree and at least 10 years of product development, sales, and/or marketing experience for a “tier one” corporation and a company that has a reputation in delivering world class products.
  • Ability to lead all aspects of a growing business including market development, customer engagement and sales.
  • A verifiable track record of excellent professional accomplishments and experience with significant periods of very high growth.
  • A history of successfully handling complex product businesses with solid growth and strong financial performance.
  • This person will be a “change agent” and have a “make things happen” attitude. They must have excellent communication, interpersonal and influencing skills.
  • Ability to travel as required.

Education:

  • BS in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science or Business/Finance.
  • Graduate (MS) technical degree and/or MBA strongly desirable.
